‘One man’s Garbage is another one’s Gold.’ That is how I would describe Red Flag Design. Started in 2004, this Vancouver based company was inspired by the amount of useful materials that was discarded as a by-product of industrial production. They focus more on quality, process and innovation. The materials are always the starting point for every design, which means they allow the physical and historical properties to dictate the outcome of the finished goods. They have created (AUM) Alternate Use Material line, which takes advantage of unwanted materials generated from previous existing products. The first AUM line products are made from recycled sailcloth. This totes are made from recycled sail cloth, so you know they have a long history, maybe they even encountered captain Jack Sparrow [Pirates of the Caribbean]. They are stylish, studier, unique, and did I mention the magic word…the bags are eco-friendly. Yep that’s the new catch phrase…or going green. Other products from the AUM line include: small and medium duffle bags, wallets, square grocer bag, wrist clutch, and 3pc basket set.
