All you need is "Love"

“I thought I’d never listen to another Beatles song again without wishing I were listening to something else,” says ThisNexter cortriga in recommending the recently released CD and Audio DVD Love. “I was wrong.” Featuring 26 tracks - everything from “Help!” to “Helter Skelter” - Love is “a terrific remix of Beatles tunes that makes the old and familiar new again,” says cortriga. “Moreover, the DVD-Audio is astounding - probably the best use of the medium so far. If more DVD-Audio disks were this lovingly and painstakingly engineered, DVD-Audio would be a huge hit.”
Cath has selected the CD-only version of Love, a project that was “conceived as a soundtrack to a Cirque de Soleil spectacular, and taken the familiar tunes of the Beatles weaving them into something suitably whimsical. This isn’t your standard tribute album or Best Of collection but a clever, affectionate reworking that makes you realize (again) how great Paul, George, John and Ringo were together.”
Mobial, meanwhile, hits the nail right on the head with all you could ever need to know about why Love is an essential purchase: “Um, it’s the Beatles!”
