American Apparel Tricot Swimsuit

Posted Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 03:00PM

Though I think Dov Charney is boss for his overpaying fair wages for workers— It’s as genius money-making and marketing as is his reverse of underpaying un-pro posers.

—I’ve never been an American Apparel fan.

Maybe it’s AA’s weak seams and unflattering cuts, maybe Dov needs to trade his sewers a few more massages for more designs like this bathing suit .

A solid neon with an upside down A-neckline, it’s perfect under a gray mini with leopard platforms, which is perfect for me— I don’t do the beach.

That Tricot piece is a classic. I feel like my mom wore that in the 70's. I support AA because it's one of the only semi-moral companies. GAP just pretends to be normal while supporting the starving of children in sweatshops throughout the world. Not only can you pick up a comfy tri-blend or a cool summer shirt. You can support a good model for the clothing industry, not just corporations who only care for numbers. Are you a number?
