And Now For Something Completely Different

I am suffering from gift overload and trying to put together a list of Christmas gifts for this blog was leaving me reeling. However I came to my senses and decided to put together a list of items I think no one else would have thought of. Correct me if I’m wrong though. Here goes, fasten your seat belts and come for a ride around the world of Christmas Gifts with a Difference.
HAVE A TRADITIONAL ENGLISH CHRISTMAS DINNER
We in the UK are supposed to eat Goose on Christmas Day but most Brits choose Turkey. I am a traditionalist and insist we have Goose. Try it it is amazing. I have found an American site with full instructions for you. Don’t mention it it’s my pleasure.
MAKE THE BABY SUFFER TOO
Why should kids have all the fun at Christmas. How uncomfortable will this outfit be? However if you like to make the kids look stupid over the festive season Buy Costumes will deliver.
A LITTLE BIT OF LONDON
These pieces of history are from the Routemaster buses that used to travel about London, now out of service. Pedlars have managed to procure all the destination blinds from these buses and are offering them, framed. A great gift that I would imagine will increase in value over the years.
HAVE A NEGATIVE CHRISTMAS
Why not use black and white as a theme for Christmas? If you’re not that daring you can always add a little splash of gold to it. Carolyne Roehm is THE place to go for luxury gift wrap, I haven’t seen anything that can beat it.
WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT…….
This is one I bet you haven’t thought of. Sera of London is the most fabulous place to find Boudoir essentials. What exactly you do with a Can Can Umbrella in the boudoir is beyond me but go and have a peek the place is fascinating.
ON YER BIKE
How about this for someone who just loves to be out and about on their bike. If I had the guts I would love one of these but negotiating the traffic would scare me witless. From your very own Anthropologie
FOR COOL KIDS ONLY
I keep imaging a kid with slicked back hair and cool clothes cruising around the playground picking up little stylish girls on this thing. Think Small Italian Stud. The Conran Shop are doing these online – tempted?
THIS IS DIFFERENT - A PIECE OF WALLPAPER
How about this wallpaper as a gift. The recipient can choose where to hang it and I for one would love this if anyone is offering. The Collection a fabulous shop in Paris has an online store and ships worldwide.
GIVE THE COOK A REST
Here’s a novel seat for the cook to rest their butt on, whilst waiting for the Christmas dinner to burn. Flavour Design came up with this idea that I can’t believe I didn’t think of.
SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO
When Christmas is over and you get that flat feeling it’s nice to have something to look forward to. Why not buy your loved one a trip to Paris and then you get some of the present too. I chose this street sign as my daughter Charlotte lives in Paris and it reminds me of her.
GARBAGE WITH STYLE
The outside of my house looks like a landfill site on Christmas morning and for days after that before the bin men or as you say in the States – garbage collectors – come and take all the bags away. Well here’s a stylish solution and it’s festive to boot. From Tom Seymour and if you find out who is selling them please let me know.
