ThisNext chats up Executive Marketing Director of Crooked Monkey, Courtney Fallon to find out if she is more than just dirty tee shirts!

TN: Any sneak previews you can share with ThisNext readers?
CF: Our t-shirts recently got picked up by Kitson, Shop Intuition, and Urban Outfitters. Coming soon to a Nordstroms near you are our best sellers: “I’d Tap That,” “That’s How I Roll,” and “No Standards.”

TN: Biggest response a T shirt of yours has received from consumers?
CF: Ha. Wow, this is a hard question. I would probably have to say that for guys, “I’m Not a Gardener, I Just Like Hos” has received the biggest response since it was just picked up by Urban. My friends can’t stop talking about the “Aquaman Makes me Wet” tee, probably because HBO’s Entourage is the hottest thing on TV. Adrian Grenier is so hot, he could be my superhero any day.

TN: The product that’s had the biggest influence on your design?
CF: The ping pong ball. It’s just so college.

TN: If you were a T shirt, you’d be a ________.
CF: Crooked Monkey t-shirt of course!!!! They are INCREDIBLY soft and are my favorite shirts to casually wear around. All of our shirts are intended to glorify the college social scene by being mischievous, witty, and sexy, all at the same time. I just recently got my hands on our “Buddha-licious” t-shirt, which has a picture of the Buddha shaking his ass on the front. TN: Your favorite product discovery in the last six months… Or something that inspired you?
CF: Hmm…favorite product discovery. My hair is pretty straight as it is, but ever since I picked up Kerastase’s improved Oleo Relax anti-frizz hair serum, I haven’t touched a flat iron in months. I don’t know how many college girls can admit to that.

TN: Most prized possession?
CF: MY IPOD!!! CANNOT LIVE A MOMENT WITHOUT IT!!!

TN: A product love secret you’re too embarrassed to share?
CF: Hah, embarrassed? Yea right!!! I use Mens’ “Degree Cool Rush” deodorant because it actually WORKS and smells fabulous.

TN: Name an item under your bed?
CF: What isn’t?

TN: Something in your closet that is not apparel, shoes, bags, etc.?
CF: My ex-boyfriend (get it… he’s in the closet).

TN: Fav trend for spring?
CF: Bubble dresses are ADORABLE. Short shorts too, but in bright colors, not jean.

TN: Least fav trend for spring?
CF: UGGS IN THE SPRING TIME!!! AHHHHH!!!!

TN: Can’t leave home without my______?
CF: My new white aviator ray bans…white sunglasses are very “in” this season and I can’t resist them.

TN: Coffee or tea?
CF: Red bull & vodka.

TN: City or suburbs?
CF: Cityyyyy. I grew up in the suburbs, and while it’s a great place to live, the city has so much more life.

TN: Loft or the perfect house with the white picket fence?
CF: Picket fence—backyard BBQs are the best.

TN: Flip-flops or sneakers?
CF: I could wear flip-flops year round. I’m an avid sneaker collector (all colors and styles) but quite frankly, I’m too lazy to put them on, so they just sit in my closet.
