Beyond it’s aesthetic appeal, bamboo can help ease the unsustainable demand for hardwood. It’s one of the fastest growing plants in the world, sometimes growing 3 or more inches in a day. Hardwood, however, is slow-growing and can take hundreds of years to replenish. This means trouble for our rainforests and global oxygen supply. Further, bamboo boasts a sturdiness and durability that exceeds mild steel ratings.

One of my Etsy favourites, sachiko, designs and makes some of the most comfortable clothes from bamboo and organic cotton fabrics.
I love to wear bamboo fabrics, they're smooth and good on the skin!
