get it together

loft3: organize
If you were organized in the first place, you wouldn’t be searching for meal receipts and pay stubs in that big messy pile of paper you call a filing system. Unfortunately none of us are as organized as we should be. This risky behavior not only pushes Uncle Sam’s patience but it also invites a full cavity IRS audit.

If you somehow manage to get through this year, there’s still hope for a more organized and stylish tax experience next year.

Lets start with getting those papers in line - you’ll never find anything in that heap of old magazines and credit card bills. Put the important stuff in a brightly colored MeBox or a sleek La Valise case. Sort through that pile of celebrity rags and file them according to dominant scandal in KNUFF magazine files. Anything you haven’t read yet and don’t mind having in plain sight around guests can be placed in and on the elegant Magazine Table.

At this point you probably generated lots of trash and no place to put it. Grab a Bin Bin waste paper can and count two points each time you dunk a piece of trash into it. Pick up all those chewed pens and pencils and place them along with all your other miscellaneous wares in the Uten.silo organizer.

Maybe you wouldnt be in the mess you are if you only remembered to take care of the important stuff. Your three allies in keeping you on top of your tasks include the Bachelor Pad 3 sticky notepad, an impossible to miss calendar from Stendig and a pad of Do Not Forget Door Hangers. If all of these fail, you may want to start writing things on your hand.

As a final precaution, even if you do manage to stick to the plan and stay super organized, its probably a good idea to put a little money away for next year’s taxes in the gorgeous Millicent Bank that will shine proudly on your desk, reminding you of the success you’ve become.
