Jewelry Boxing

Whether you’re a guy or doll, almost every lady you know
- the mom, the grandma, the girlfriend, the girl (space) friend, the sister, the sister-in-law -
Would probably prefer jewelry to a jewelry box.
But I get that you’d prefer to skip out on figuring ring sizes, sorting Swarovski crystals from rhinestones, knowing white gold from platinum.
So gift your her a jewelry box, and know no fuss.
You could do equal parts vintage and fresh, a la this Anthroplogie “Jolie” jewelry box. Lightly decadent, femme sans being over girly, “I loooove this jewelry box swathed in velvet and sprinkled with sparkly seed beads and flowers,” says John_and_Rose. “It sits on four beaded globe feet, has a mirrored lid and removable ring tray. Dimensions are 4”L, 6”W, 3.5”H. Just gorgeous!”
Ooh la love, so’s this dogwood flowers on hexagon box. While the Anthropologie box is chic, and vibes finger-print unique, we all know the boutique-y chain is the Starbucks of manufactured quirky. This Boxman’s dogwood flowers on hexagon box, on the other hand, is actually a “beautiful handmade box with wood-burned decorations by Boxman,” says Simone.
Oh?
“He makes truly lovely work!”
I believe it. But if you want to do even more natural, more wood than dogwood flowers, check these teak boxes. “I love these teak boxes. So simple and understated,” says R U Genius, “yet gorgeous and practical.”
Personally, though, I dig a little more gloss, a little more like Simply Tiffany Taite’s polka dot jewelry box. “Gorgeous jewelry box that everyone loves when they recieve it,” says Simply Lovely Gifts. “Great for birthday gifts, anniversaries, christenings (especially with a bracelet or necklace inside!)”
For your jet setter, gift a May Yeung jewelry silk brocade jewelry travel roll. “A great gift for a bride or bridesmaid,” says Traci Meyer, or any lady creative enough to rock it as a clutch purse. Even better is a custom jewelry roll, which is “custom made with your own choice of fabric,” says Simone. “Yum!”
Yum, indeed, doll. Think they’ll custom-print a roll of neon pink K’s?
Hmm, neither did I.
If your lady loves showy, sans fuschia, she’ll dig PBteen’s vintage iron jewelry holder, which is a clean way to display your best baubles. “Cute, vintage and practical!” says Pin Rat. “This beautiful white vintage jewelry holder is the perfect addition to any bureau. It has three levels with pierced edges to hold earrings.”
For your more modern mammi, check this sleek and chic jewelry tree by Louise Christ for Menu. “Finger rings, bracelets, chains and ear-rings – all find their place on the jewelry tree which is just as beautiful and sculptural as it is fascinatingly simple,” says Blue Ant Studio. “In daily use it is not only decorative, but provides you with a good overview of what you can choose among.”
Exactly, love.
