The iPhone is dropping on Friday and a long queue has already started forming outside the Apple store in New York City, and in some AT&T stores country wide. According to electronista, Close AT&T sources have revealed that, the provider will offer a custom plan dubbed the ‘iPlan,’ it would include: unlimited internet access over EDGE, a minimum of 200 or 2000 SMS (whatever is the right number, you get the idea.) and may be even expand to unlimited texting. Price $35-$45. The retail launch is at 6pm, and FedEx stepped up security, and drivers where pre-assigned in teams to prevent theft by outsiders and the drivers themselves. Rumour has it that, even though the iPhone is not yet available for sale, Apple is already in talks with their manufacturing partner in Taiwan for a next generation iPhone. I wonder what they will name it, the “iPhone nano” AT&T has announced their iPhone plan rates: The following is approximately what you might spend for the iPhone including: AT&T activation fee, one month of service, and taxes (taxes may vary state to state, but if you live in NYC this is close Thanks to Core77)

4GB with 450: $648.79
