New Year's Heels

Posted Friday, December 22, 2006 at 11:28AM

Sitting with Grams, smiling in thanks at Mom, stirring a square of dark chocolate into your soy latte, you’re stretching your legs out like a cat, relaxing, reflecting -

Think you can snag those holiday heels in time for New Year’s Eve?

Bet your Jimmy Chouboutins you can, doll.

Though if you’re eying these Gucci platform pumps - a too-tall heel and little Gucci stamp on the platform makes this conspicuous consumption done right - compeitition is stiff. Says our own Notcot: “There are some objects you see, desire, and can’t get out of your head. Found these last week, and they are still haunting me. I think I need them. Look at those curves. *swoon*”

Swoon is right, doll. But you’re going to have to stand strong if you’re rocking these skyscraper heels.  And I’m sure you can, because like these Gucci platform pumps, you’re -

” - smart, sophisticated, sexy,” says Ereyna.

Just like you, doll, and just like these super mignon Jimmy Choo metallic snake slingbacks.  As describes Princess, the shoes’ “luminous strappy snakeskin has a dazzling jeweled buckle closure.” So obviously glammy, they’d rock right with a kind of casual navy jersey tank dress, even on New Year’s Eve.

Or maybe a sleek suit. I love super femme form against masculine function, I could see you vibing all boss lady in a luxe tux with these Manolo Blahnik Houristra stilettos. Dripping in rhinestones, dipped in leopard-print silk, post-New Years these Manolo Blahniks will work every evening out, every season, every year. Over the top timeless. Says Caryl Chinn, “I own about 10 pairs, but this style is by far the most outrageous. Leopard-pattern silk and rhinestones. Flawless.”

Yes, I am.

And so are these Armani sequined pumps. Just as luxe but more subtly S-E-X, their one part glam, two parts ladylike are balanced on a killer heel.  And when your New Year’s night is over, this “cute pump will take you from the office and out on the town,” says Chloe. “The peep toe detail is ideal for showing off your pedicure that you can’t bear to give up, even though summer is over!”

Bruno Frisoni understands, check these satin shoe boots. Deliciously selective, unlike Monsieur Louboutin’s peeptoes, and unlike Mr. Man who’ll be peeping at every lady at New Year’s. Say, tah-tah, doll, because laced-up tight with Bruno, it’ll be a cinch to glide away.

“This is too perfect of a shoe!” says John_and_Rose.

Isn’t it, though? So mignon, and -

”- wrapped satin ribbon straps add sex appeal to this peep toe shoe,” says John_and_Rose. “Mr. Frisoni did it again!”

He sure did.  As did Monsieur Louboutin, check these Christian Louboutin Fox Trots.

Though they’re only available for preorder (thanks for the tip, I want - I got.)

And forgive me for being a tease, ladies.
