Nice Ice, Baby

Eva Solo ice cube cooler
Thank heavens for the LA Times. They leave no stone unturned — especially when it comes to rocks. No more are bartenders mindlessly chucking tap-water cubes into their top-shelf cocktails. Rather, nowadays it’s all about ice made with triple-filtered Fiji water or somesuch.

Of course, they have a point. Have you actually tasted the tap water in LA? Heck, even in cities with famously good tap like New York and San Francisco, you’re still ingesting no small amount of mysterious mineral content. Maybe a little homegrown designer ice isn’t such a bad idea.

That said, you’ve got to protect your investment. Fiji water ain’t cheap, yo. So we think Stefano Ricci (a prolific picker, he) has the right idea with this Eva Solo ice cooler to keep your ice on ice.

Now that’s cool.
