Ooh La Love: Think Pink in October

I suppose it’s natural that a disease largely affecting women has spawned tons of chic beauty and fashion goodies to benefit its research and eradication.
Yep, it’s time to think pink for breast cancer awareness month, and every year reminder cause products go further beyond simple pink ribbons.
Check these Anastasia Beverly Hills tweezers: they aren’t just “the best,” describes brow guru Anastasia Soare, the tweezers go beyond their “calibrated tension ensures [that] a perfect tweeze anytime,” as its proceeds benefit Women’s Cancer Research Fund -
Where Philosophy “Shower for the Cure” Pink Ribbon shower gel proceeds also land. Explains Beauty Hatchery, “Philosophy invites us to ‘Shower for the Cure’ with their Pink Ribbon Shower Gel. They say, ‘the search for a cure is a cause that we at philosophy hold near and dear.’ “
And it’s one Beauty Hatchery holds dear, too; she’s a fan of this Clinique Breast Cancer Awareness lip saver kit as well. “Clinique’s Breast Cancer Awareness Palette has three complementary pink shades of Shimmering Tones Powder to give skin a luminous all-day glow. Wear the caring pinks, knowing $8 from your purchase helps support the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation and the mission to find a cure in our lifetime.”
Not much for going glossy? She Beads All Pink Ribbon bracelet is a classic casual, and benefits “The Pink Ribbon Girls, a support network for young women with breast cancer.” Explains Beauty Hatchery, “She Beads makes great jewelry pieces that show the world which causes you support. Their very popular Pink Ribbon beads are still going strong. With each sale, a donation goes to support.”
There’s also a more subtly breast-cancer pink Ford Scarf by Lilly Pulitzer, with its chrysanthemums set off by blue borders and a green background. “Lily Pulitzer has lent her colorful talent to the cause by designing this lovely scarf. This limited-edition, 100% silk scarf features a colorful print of pink chrysanthemums and blue daisies on a green background,” says Beauty Hatchery. “This exclusive Lilly design symbolizes the spirit of hope, courage and life that people who participate in the Race for the Cure exemplify.”
SheFinds recommends this Stila BCA It Gloss Trio, with “the shimmery shades Enticing (a soft pink), New Courageous (a gold pink), and New Inspiring (a fuchsia pink). IT glosses are neither goopy nor sticky. The smell is good without a weird taste. Do you have teens and ‘tweens on your holiday list? Order a few sets for gifts (and one for yourself). The soft shades are not overpowering for younger women and not too frosty for a sophisticated face.” On the shelves for a limited time, a cut of the lip glossies’ proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
