Most Nexters post pictures that show their pearly whites. And illustrations are always lovely, be they your own art or images that reflect your style. A lot of you match your profile snaps with your blog’s design. But (sigh) some of you insist on looking like a sideways smiley face. Not. Hot.

There are two ways to picture yourself on ThisNext:
1. Sign in—> Click over to your profile —> Click “Add/Edit Photos.”
2. Add a smaller icon picture by clicking “Edit” in the small box that had your info.

Why post a portrait? It helps other Nexters. The whole reason we started ThisNext was to help online shoppers discover things that make their life better a la recommendations from people like them. How’s a person supposed to know who you are if you’re hiding behind our sideways smiley face?

Also, newsletter fame will elude those without profile pix. We are ever cursing missed opportunities to promote great Nexters’ recommendations because they haven’t revealed themselves. Don’t make us ignore you!
