Factory Green is the hottest eco-friendly clothing available today, and for good reason. They sell fun and affordable organic cotton tees, handbags, totes, and housewares. Factory Green’s founders, Daniel Lyons (see Daniel’s ThisNext profile!) and Jack Short, are two pre-med students at the University of Missouri. After observing a lack of opportunities for those of us on student budgets to take part in eco-friendly practices, they set out to make affordable eco-friendly products so we could all jump on the green bandwagon.

The result? Factory Green, an online store I can’t stop telling my friends about.

Each of their shirts are made from 100% organic cotton or bamboo in factories that are powered by 90% renewable energy. Talk about green! But it gets better (if it can?). A major goal of Factory Green is to make eco-friendly living affordable for younger consumers, so their products hover steadily around $20.00 each. With most organic cotton tees out there today costing at least $40.00, Factory Green’s products are a real steal.

This isn’t going to be easy for me. I am a Blackberry addict and when that phone rings I am fast to pick it up no matter where I am! I dug out my old bluetooth headset from years past today and let’s just say, it’s busted. Not only is it busted looking I can’t ever figure out how to turn the damn thing on. You have to hold the button down and wait for it to blink 4 times, put it on, then you can’t hear anyone because you realize you turned it off instead of on.

The whole process is stressful to say the least so I am buying a new headset. The headset that I really want is the Jawbone but it’s $129 and that is just too much to spend on something that isn’t shoes :)

I ended up finding a really cool one on Amazon today. It’s by Jabra and it comes with 33 interchangeable faceplates!
