Sheer madness
Posted Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 01:57PMAlthough Madvillian’s Madvillainy boasts the creepiest ThisNext-featured album cover since Desert Doughnuts by Metallic Falcons, it hasn’t managed to scare away shopcasters like ihart44 and Staviean.
“With Madlib’s incredible mix of jazzy, head bumpin’ beats and MF Doom’s lyrical winds this is one you’ll have in your weekly rotation,” promises ihart44. A “must for any music lover with good taste and an I.Q. over 100,” Madvillainy is “un-hip-hop hip-hop CD,” she adds.
Staviean agrees that the “very beat conscious album” is required listening any underground hip-hop fans and all of those “who enjoy amazing turntablists and lyricists.” “If you enjoy listening to artists like Wax Tailor, Madlib, Count Bass D, RJD2, Z-Trip or even Ugly Duckling, then you will definitely enjoy Madvillain,” he insists.
