Sovereign Beck Spring/Summer '08 Collection Launches

Men’s neckwear can be a difficult purchase. Nearly everything decent falls into a spectrum that flows from bland to conservative. Most anything remotely memorable often runs the risk of coming off as obnoxious, but there’s a fine line where unconventional design meets the traditional menswear. Think tailoring, materials, and an artistic touch. That line is exactly where Sovereign Beck, a Brooklyn-based label that specializes in neckties and (for a time, at least) pocket squares, has been setting up shop for the last few years.
The brand’s latest collection is comprised of designs hand-printed locally in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn on men’s shirting cotton. As ever, the pattens are unconventional and will lend a touch of color to an understated shirt and jacket. You’ll also find the ties particularly suited to adding dimension to an otherwise casual outfit. The mixture of quirky visual appeal and traditional elegance makes for memorable accessorizing.
