I guess I shouldn’t be all that surprised, but I’m still slightly dismayed at the lack of Little Miss Sunshine love shown at this year’s Golden Globes. Maybe more irksome than Toni Collette getting snubbed in the Best Actress category (I must admit I can’t deny the greatness of Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada) and the film itself losing the Best Motion Picture - Musical Or Comedy award, Little Miss Sunshine scoring nary a nomination for Best Original Song totally gets my goat.

Played during the closing credits, Colorado band Devotchka’s lovely “Til The End of Time” perfectly captures the movie’s sweet sadness, making you go all melancholy while still feeling giddily happy. Also featuring Sufjan Stevens (and, of course, “Superfreak” by Rick James), the entire soundtrack is golden, the first film in so long where I actually enjoy listening to the score on its own.
