TN Talks: Freitag Lab Bag

Posted Friday, September 7, 2007 at 05:42PM

ThisNexter’s love being “green.”  So it’s always great when we discover new products made out of recycled objects.  Freitag Lab makes bags from recycled truck tarps, inner tubes, seat belts and more.  Their collection started out with messenger bags and wallets, now their line has laptop sleeves, punching bags, travel bags, soccer balls, ipod cases, tote bags and more.

Our users can’ t get enough of this stylish line of bags and accessories, so far 10 users have recommended these bags so let’s find out why they love it.

I have one of these and it’s lasted four years so far; durable and cool; great for a laptop, books, or as an overnight bag. A smaller size would be a great purse (for man or woman) as well.

Amazing bags made from recycled truck tarps.

FOR THE HIPSTER: I agree with Nexter Elmanco. Freitag was the original of the reclaimed textile bag, especially in the messenger style. I saw it in Europe about four years ago, and it took forever for Freitag to get to the U.S.! Glad it’s here now.

Freitag are truly become inconic bags for street/fashion culture during beginning of this century. Made of recycled tyres, secure belts, and pv,c these bags are sons of the streets, and of the cute idea of 2 swiss brothers, graphic designers. Now there are many companies which are copying the geniuos idea of the Freitag bros.

I have a Frietag bag. It is completely and totally fantastic and it has lasted longer than any other bag I have owned. If it ever dies I will buy another.
