TN Talks: Sriracha Sauce

Posted Friday, August 10, 2007 at 10:23AM

Sriracha Sauce has been recommended on ThisNext 20 times.  Why? Well because it’s delicious that’s why.  I am personally a huge fan of the hot stuff.  I put it on pretty much everything, in fact I just had it on my eggs this morning and I may have some with my lunch this afternoon.  Check out some of ThisNext user’s recommendations to find out why this product is so highly recommended.

When you’re too lazy to layer in heat, this perks up any dish.

Sriracha. Don’t try to pronounce it. Who knows how to say “sriracha?” It’s spicy. There’s a picture of a rooster on the front.  Just call it “hot cock.”  I put the hot cock on everything. Ev. Ree. Thing.

I am Vietnamese, and I will tell you, I can’t live without a bottle of this in my fridge. I go through serious withdrawal when I am out and cannot find it at a nearby store. Luckily we have Chinatown in Oakland, where I can drive frantically to in order to find my sriracha hot sauce.  I use it mostly only for Pho, the vietnamese noodle soup. I also add it to dipping sauces for spring rolls or imperials rolls.  Oh, talking about it makes me hungry!

Sriracha is one of the high holy hot sauces of the world. Excellent balance of heat and flavor, and it comes in a handy squeeze-top bottle!

Yes, this is the most, to say the least...there is a huge Vietnamese community in OC, Cali and that is where we were first introduced to this. The flavor is soo awesome, it isn't so hot, but it is spicy...does that make sense?
