Dirty Denim...

The hot jean a couple of years ago, way to save the world now, says the Style Salon:

“According to a study by France’s environment agency, your favorite jeans are not doing the environment any good. Over the period of a year, washing and tumble drying a pair of jeans uses up 240kWh of energy a year, equal to using 4,000 lightbulbs, 60 watts each, for an hour. So why not wash your jeans a little less often? They may smell a bit but you can comfort yourself with the fact that your are doing your bit for the planet.”

Sounds good to ThisNext: we love almost any reason to do less laundry thing to help make Mother Earth happy.

flatvase.jpgAhhh…perfect ThisNext symmetry!

A blog which - defined by it’s own title - offers Better Living Though Design.

A groovy modern vase (found by above mentioned blog) which packs flat, travels anywhere, and creates it’s own dimension through the water you add to it.

Someone call 1-800-Flowers.

Hiking Sideways

The California Wine Hiker inspires reveries of broad beach blankets spread over grass at the base of a trailhead, our tennies off after trudging through Napa’s hills, a chilled white and a sun-warmed red and enough cheese and cured meat nibbles to revive. We are dizzy with dehydration-fueled-drunkenness the loveliness of the scene.

Here’s to making the good life better by marrying two seemingly disparate but actually harmonious pursuits! Cin Cin!
