Tifi and EbonyMom
Posted Sunday, July 2, 2006 at 12:59PM
Tifi is an African American mom from St. Luica; her friend and fellow blogger EbonyMom is an army brat mother of two in Stone Mountain, GA, and together (and separately) they give fascinating windows on two unique version of being African American and a mother in twenty-first century America. They’re passionate about fashion, their children, the world and reading — and their book lists and reviews alone are worth regular visits (not to mention the pics, the stories, the sincere thoutfulness…). EbonyMom’s the one who suggested Reading with Babies, Toddlers, and Two’s,but it was Tifi who spoke Tom Perotta’s Little Children one day and Pearl Cleage’s Babylon Sisters: A Novel the next. Mindful lives, well presented, full of warmth and good thoughts.
