ThisNext has been a busy busy place since launch yesterday, and while recommendations are taking off, and badges are popping up all over the net, it can be an overwhelmingly addictive little world to get lost in. (I personally have been a bit slow on posting simply because i’ve - as much as i hate to admit - been obsessing about the badges and constantly discovering new things on the site).

So you know you can put badges up to share what you love. But if you’re as nosy and curious as i am, you’ll know that sometimes magically changing badges with what OTHER people recommend is just as fascinating, if not more so, to see. Over at NOTCOT, my aesthetics obsessed portal of design goodness, i’ve implemented the badges as a contribution space for users. I show them what i love 24/7 - and curiosity getting the better of me, how could i resist asking them what THEY love and use. Go see what some of them have found by scrolling down my site (below my gallery tags) and you will see the 50 most recent adds.

I love how easy ThisNext makes it for my readers to share their picks with each other - when adding something they simply tag it ‘NOTCOT’ as well as whatever other tags are applicable, and as soon as its added - refresh NOTCOT and there it is!
