It’s summer again which means you new high school graduates are getting ready to become college freshman. By this time of the month, I had already been to freshman orientation and almost finished shopping for a lot of “essentials” that ended up getting thrown out. Wallcandy’s Dottilicious Wall Decals

dottilicous.jpgAmy Hatch (lynsalyns) was the first to list it in Baby Baubles. “ OK,” she says, “how cute are these? Cheaper than paint, and way cooler, too. I use them in the nursery, but you can peel and stick them just about anywhere. Are you renting? Don’t sweat it, the decals come right off. Get them. You’ll love them.” Laptopbride came next; she thought retro, and not just for the nursery; she’d like them in her own room. And our very own blogger Aunt Beep thinks they’re super-cute, girly, and playful. Kid stuff? Maybe. But if Aunt Beep likes ‘em, it’s official: they’re cool for everybody.

Hip Mom and Trendy Tweens, one of the MomBloggers, has come across the ultimate writing instrument for teenagers, and a gateway to her own past: a combination pen, paper shredder, and AM/FM radio. “How cool would it be to be able to write a catty note about that hideous dress that Miffy is wearing and then be able to shred it right then and there?” Jenn says. “And all the while be able to rock out to my favorite radio station? I can totally see detention in my future past with this one.”
